RICH TASK EXPO..., plus garden update

Dear Room 4,

I hope you all had a great time showing and presenting your learning at the EXPO on Monday. Many of you have put a lot of effort into your work with your Rich Task group, promoting the school Care Codes. There were movies, animations. surveys, games, and quizzes. I have noticed that a lot of you bringing materials from home to decorate your 'showroom'. Well done!

UPDATE
We went to have a look at our garden after our Fitness session earlier this week. There were a lot of weeds, which covered the entire garden. A big thank-you to those of you who have tried very hard to pull the weeds out.

Did you see what was inside the radish?

  5. Our garden must have a problem of some pests in our garden The beetroot was all demolished by those pesky disgusting critters we found a slug and a centipede in it! *GROSS* The carrot looked like it was ready for harvesting! but NO it was just a little tiny baby carrot what a shame. We must keep our garden safe to do this we must plant some marigolds! it is a natural Pestiscide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-Himadri and Alex.

  6. I think we made really good progress so far. And maybe checking on the garden every couple days will give a good idea on what we should do next. - Malyaa

  7. I think we should add some NATURAL things to help or protect our garden, salt, egg shells etc. Other then the slug,I think the radishes are nice.We should wait a few more weeks for the carrots too.

  9. OMIGOSH ITS A SLUG \o/ Save The RAdish First :0
Tis a slug and tis seem to be enjoying-th the-th Radish-th
It looks as if thy radish hath exploded-th Thus creating a conveinent hole for thine Slug to crawl-th through

But we can get rid of the slugs with pest controls such as egg shells.

  10. The slug is eating the radish so that means we should use but salt on it.It will hurt the bugs and they would not want to go there. It will also give the plants some seasoning.RUBEN IS AWESOME!!!!
