Sweet Sticky Rice Dumplings

元宵節快樂! (Yuan Xiao Jie Kuai Le) 
Happy Lantern Festival

Did you enjoy the sweet sticky-rice dumplings that we had in class for celebrating the Chinese Lantern Festival? Did you like the taste of these sticky and slimy dumplings? Which one out of the three was your favourite? The sesame, the taro, or the peanut one? My favourite one was the sesame one, yum!






Each one of you have also made your own lanterns in class with the Chinese paper-cutting (the word "" means Spring in English). Great creativity!

    1. Hi Lisa,

      Yes it is a tradition for Chinese people to eat these sticky rice-dumplings for the Lantern Festival. You can choose whether the savoury ones with mince or prawn inside, or the sweet ones like sesame or peanut flavour.
